Grandma C's Peach Cobbler

What You Need

1 cup white sugar

2 cups Bisquick

1/2 cup butter

10-12 fresh peaches peeled and cut into pieces or 2 bags of fresh frozen peaches

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine Bisquick and sugar into a large Ziploc bag. Seal the bag and shake well.

  3. Spray the bottom of a 9x13 Pyrex dish with cooking spray.

  4. Place peaches into the pan.

  5. Sprinkle Bisquick/sugar mixture over the peaches.

  6. Cut butter into small pieces. Place them all over the Bisquick/sugar mixture.

  7. Bake for 45 minutes - 1 hour until the top becomes golden brown.

  8. Remove from oven and let cool a little before serving.

Alternative

Using the same cobbler topping recipe, you can add other fruit, such as berries and/or nectarines. You can also make individual cobblers in separate ramekins by dividing the fruit and topping evenly amongst the small dishes.

Serving the dish

The cobbler is best served alone, with vanilla ice cream, and/or with whipped cream. I have also added berries with the peaches.
